Children's Social Workers – Permanency & Planning

Welcome to Worcestershire Children’s First!

My name is Tina Russell and I am the Director for Children's Social Care and Safeguarding Services. I'm supported by my Assistant Directors; Maria White, Emma Brittain and Adam Johnston and we are looking to recruit dedicated and creative social workers to fill our remaining Social Worker positions.

If you are a passionate and innovative social worker looking to make a difference, develop your career and improve the lives of children and young people, then Worcestershire Children Services should be your next destination!

A vacancy exists in our Permanency Planning and Support Team. You will be responsible for overseeing care plans of adoption, assisting with the completion of Child Permanence Reports, supporting Special Guardianship carers where Assessment of Needs are requested and to support the Local Authority in the completion of Subject to Access Record requests in line with statutory requirements.

We are looking for people who will keep a relentless focus on positive outcomes for our children and young people. You will be working as part of a small team supported by dedicated administrative support.  To enhance your performance and development we have a strong team of permanent dedicated managers and senior managers.

Staff are positive about changes that have been implemented, including that a strengths-based model of social work intervention is in place and embedded.”

Senior leaders are ambitious and the trajectory for further improvement is established”
