Assistant Head Teacher

The Role

Start date: January 2022 or September 2021 if available

Welcombe Hills school is for a broad spectrum special school for pupils aged 3 -19 years, who have a range of learning difficulties. We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated practitioner, with excellent teaching and management skills, to join our school Leadership team which currently comprises Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and 1 Assistant Head Teacher. This position is a new Assistant Head Teacher role to take the Leadership team to a team of 4.

We are a two site school – the main school building is on Blue Cap Road, Stratford, CV37 6TQ. The sixth form Hub is on Drayton Ave, Stratford, CV37 9LD. The school hours are slightly different at each site, please see our school website for further details. This position will require time at both sites.

Key Requirements

We are looking for somebody with a track record of outstanding teaching, even though it is not our intention for this role to have a teaching commitment. Candidates will ideally have had experience in a Special school and possess the ability to share their practice, work with a positive and optimistic outlook and drive forward improvements.
