Following the restructure of the Parks and Open Spaces Division, we have a unique opportunity for Parks and Cemeteries professionals in a number of new roles at the Council. We are looking for some exceptional candidates who want to make a difference and strive in a challenging environment.

Benefits to you:

  • Flexitime Scheme
  • Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Discounted Leisure Centre Membership

  • Cycle Scheme
  • Free Car Parking

If you have a proven track record of delivering grounds maintenance and park services, preferably in a local authority setting and have the ability to lead a large and dedicated horticultural team, a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join us as a Green Space Development Manager.

The successful post holder will lead on shaping and implementing our frontline services using agile working techniques and IT generated work programmes and inspections. Consequently, we are looking for a Greenspace champion to bring together these two important services with the effective delivery of the council’s Greenspace service.

You should be qualified to HND level or equivalent in an appropriate subject area (e.g. landscape management, horticulture) and have substantial management experience and a valid full UK Driving Licence. You will have a thorough knowledge of horticulture and will ideally be a member of an appropriate professional body.
