Transport in Birmingham is changing as it sees unprecedented levels of investment in transport projects.

Are you interested in being part of these exciting opportunities helping to deliver these transport projects?

We are seeking motivated individuals with an interest in transport projects to join the Projects teams to support the delivery of transport projects including 2022 Commonwealth Games Infrastructure, HS2 Interface, Clean Air Zone, Bus Rapid Transit (Sprint), Metro, and City Centre Public Realm.

You will assist Project Managers with delivering a varied project portfolio which includes major highway projects, junction improvements, traffic management and cycling projects to support economic growth, congestion reduction, modal shift and accessibility.

The ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects is essential, and good problem solving and communication skills are required.

Individuals must demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development. Successful candidates will be supported in working towards industry recognised qualifications.

You will get 29 days holiday allowance per year, the opportunity to join a market leading pension scheme and enjoy an impressive package of other health and wellbeing benefits including our flexible working policy and discounts with some of the UKs top retailers, fashion and tech brands.

It should also be noted that the City Council is adapting to ‘New Ways of Working’, embracing the principals of increased remote and agile working with less reliance on office-based working.

Interviews for this post will take place virtually via video conferencing. Shortlisted candidates will be provided with further information.
