Story Wood School is a welcoming, vibrant school and we are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support children in a classroom environment, including those with special educational needs. You will be required to work with individual pupils with sensory impairment.

You will be confident working with small groups of children in KS2. It is important that you are an effective team worker and committed to developing exciting learning experiences for the

children. You will have good oral and written skills and be able to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents and be committed to caring for children’s needs. In return Story Wood School can offer enthusiastic learners who respond to good teaching in a positive working

atmosphere. We are committed to continuing to raise standards and move the school forward.

Informal visits are encouraged and can be arranged by contacting the school office. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and

spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
