Swimming Instructor & Water Safety Officer

Grade 6  .scp 9-15

£20,903.00-£23,541.00 (FTE 37hrs) pro rata

Actual Salary:  £12,148.24

Part Time Fixed Term – 25 hours (Term Time) with flexibility

9.15am-2.45pm (incl 30 minutes lunch break)

Fixed Term until July 2022

Cherry Trees School are currently looking to recruit a qualified Swimming Instructor and Water Safety Officer to be responsible for the development of swimming and water safety throughout the school.  We are a special school meaning we provide education for young children with a range of needs from the age of 3-11.  The school has particular expertise in working with pupils who have profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties including those with communication problems, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and complex needs and those with moderate learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Be a positive role model for pupils.
  • Comply with schools policies and procedures.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children.
  • Work closely with parents/carers and other professionals.

INTERVIEW DETAILS:

You will be required to take a group of Year 5 & 6 children for a swimming session with the support of staff members who will know the pupils.
