Job Start Date: 1 September 2021

A Level 3 Teaching Assistant is required at this outstanding special school catering for pupils with visual impairments between the ages of 2 and 19 years. Candidates should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 and have GCSEs at grade A-C in mathematics and English or the equivalent. The post will be within the Primary Department of the school and will include academic support, social, emotional and mental health support, physical care and behaviour management.

The successful candidate will join a strong and successful team of people fully committed to maximising every child’s potential.

Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs in either mainstream or specialist provision is essential. Candidates with no school experience should not apply. Informal visits are welcome by arrangement.
