Grounds & Cleansing Team Leader

£36,922 - £39,880 per annum

NJC PO7

37 hours per week

As client to the Council’s appointed grounds and cleansing contractor the post holder is responsible for managing the locality team, providing guidance and reviewing work issued to the contractor is completed to satisfactory standards.

The post holder has a key role working collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders in relation to landscape, environmental and cleansing services.

Investigates and develops well considered responses to Cabinet Member and MP enquiries and more complex complaints from the public and Parish and Town Councils, taking the opportunity to evaluate and implement front line service improvements.

Develop and manage information for the public and work with communications on campaigns to promote public awareness and share news about the delivery of services.

Interview and Assessment

The Grounds and Cleansing team have been realigned to deliver operationally with a focus on delivering tangible outcomes through the delivery of programmes and projects and a focus on contract performance.

Applicants should prepare a ten minute presentation on:

  • What actions, in the role of team leader, will you take to deliver this and how you will build capacity within the team.
