Fixed Term contract until 31st March 2022
4 days per week – Monday to Thursday
Grade HC 8 - £29,350 pro rata

Herefordshire Council Public Health as part of our COVID-19 response are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person with excellent analytical skills to join our busy COVID-19 Outbreak Control Hub. With a focus on making sense of information to make a difference in the way to help control outbreaks within Herefordshire.
As an intelligence analyst, you will be comfortable with obtaining, analysing and interpreting data from sources ranging from published official statistics to internal client databases, and turning this into insights for non-statisticians. You will have the ability to build effective business relationships at all levels in the organisation, with strong verbal, written and visual communication skills and the ability to challenge in a constructive manner.

You will be working closely with the Senior Intelligence Analyst to provide robust data to inform key meetings, along with working in close collaboration with other information analysts within the council; other local authority PH analysts and also the Public Health England.
Along with your skill in analysis and interpretation of data, you will have a degree or equivalent relevant experience, ideally in public health, statistics or a health-related field, accompanied with an advanced knowledge of Excel and Access.
