Legal Assistant (Childcare)
We are a busy, friendly, well supported legal team serving Worcestershire County Council in a beautiful and conveniently situated location in Worcester. We provide a high quality and well regarded service( best in the country in terms of care completion) to our users and now need to recruit 1 legal Assistant(childcare) to cover an increased workload due to the impact of the pandemic.
As part of a team of 6 legal assistants you will have responsibility to assist 2 solicitors who advise the Worcestershire Childrens First(WCF) about child protection and related matters. Your main role will be to draft all applications, including threshold documents, obtain most evidence and ensure that it arrives in a timely way; provide witness liaison, run your own private proceedings caseload with the potential for non-contentious advocacy for the right candidate. There is also a potential for the post to move to an apprenticeship to follow the CILEX route.
