Farming in Protected Landscapes Officer – Malvern Hills AONB 

Up to 4 days per week (with possibility of 5 days a week subject to funding) 

Salary up to - £29,577 based on a 5 day, 37hr role (salary pro rata for initial 4 day role). Fixed term contract to 31st March 2024.

We are looking for someone to join the Malvern Hills AONB team to support the delivery of the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme. Created by Defra and managed by AONB and National Park teams across the country, FiPL will help farmers, land managers and others to deliver work on the farmed landscape under the themes of climate, nature, people and place. You’ll provide advice and guidance to potential grant applicants and support an assessment panel, who will judge applications. You will have a degree or equivalent compensatory experience and significant experience of successfully working with farmers and land managers to achieve conservation objectives, including through agri-environment schemes. The role will be based in Malvern, with flexibility for home working some of the week. The role will include travel throughout the Malvern Hills AONB.
