Job Details

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and highly valued Community Educational and Child Psychology team that is expanding and evolving to meet the demands and needs of a diverse population by increasing our capacity.

We provide a working environment that promotes good working relationships and the strength of team support. You will work a school patch system in a multi-professional team. You will have a laptop and mobile phone, which will enable you to work efficiently and agilely.

We are fortunate to continue to operate within a centrally-funded model, but we are also developing our traded offer with schools. In addition, we are delivering high profile projects, such as the Sandwell Wellbeing Charter Mark, that have been commissioned by partners within the Local Authority including Public Health and Social Care.

In Sandwell every day is different where the work involves a variation of activities including consultation, training, research and work with Early Years children right up to Post 16 young people. The ECP team have a solid team identity that is grounded in the values of Community Psychology, with a strong emphasis on person-centred approaches and anti-oppressive practice.

Sandwell is an exciting and continuously developing service where Continuing Professional Development is highly valued. Consequently, all ECPs are encouraged to develop their professional interests in order to enhance the progression of the service and ultimately the opportunities for the children and young people of Sandwell.

The successful applicant will be entitled to the following:-

  • Up to 35 days per year annual leave

Qualifications

Degree in Psychology recognised by BPS Post Graduate Qualification in Educational and Child Psychology (recognised by BPS)

Hours: 

37 hours per week

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
