The St John Bosco Multi Academy Company (MAC) was established in September 2013, the MAC is highly successful and has recently been through a period of transition and growth with a further 2 schools joining the MAC in April 2020. As part of supporting the growth of the MAC, Directors are looking to expand the central services team through the appointment of a Finance Manager which holds experience of good financial management and resource allocation.

This appointment will be predominantly based with the central services team based at Bishop Milner Catholic College, but would be expected to travel to work with all schools within the MAC.

BUDGET OFFICER

GRADE 8, 37 HOURS PER WEEK, 41 WEEKS PER YEAR

£26,370.60 - £28,828.97 ACTUAL

Directors are looking for a finance professional who will be responsible for the day to day financial and operational administration with experience of educational budgets, these will include but are not limited to:

  • Budget setting and monitoring for multiple schools
  • Cashflow, reconciliations and management of accounts payable and receivable
  • Good communication, reporting skills and attendance at meetings outside of normal hours

Prior knowledge or experience of working within schools and education would be desirable.

This role requires a dedicated, flexible and organised individual who will approach work with a positive attitude, with honesty, confidentiality and integrity whilst carrying out their duties at all times.
