The Shaw Education Trust are delighted to invite applications for an EYFS Practitioner/Nursery Manager for our new nursery provision at Meadows primary school. Meadows nursery is due to open from 1 September 2021. We seek an enthusiastic, self-motivated and ambitious individual who has the capability and skills to lead our small nursery/early years provision. As one of a family of schools supported by the Shaw Education Trust, Meadows Nursery will benefit from our tried-and-tested ways of working, experience and expertise. We have an unswerving commitment to improving the life chances of all children and our staff and leaders must reflect this determination to achieve excellence for all and by all.

As Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of learning provision within the phase, highlighting and improving the education and outcomes for all of our children through the delivery of a highly effective and engaging curriculum. You will motivate and stimulate a child's learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience, providing pastoral care and support to children within a secure learning environment. You will be expected to observe, assess and record each child's progress.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, confident and experienced individual who holds a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care. We are searching for someone who is passionate about learning, with high expectations for all our children so that they can reach their true potential in a safe, exciting and nurturing environment. You will need to be an excellent communicator and role model who can support and coach a new team of staff so that they have a sense of pride, accountability and mutual responsibility across the nursery. You will also have the ability to nurture, inspire and motivate pupils, building excellent relationships with parents and strong links with the community.

Our aim at Meadows is for all of our children to be successful learners, so they are able to grow, develop and mature into successful adults. Whilst we strive for high academic achievement, success at The Meadows is about happiness, making good choices and feeling proud of yourself. To be successful all children and adults have to overcome setbacks and show resilience. We believe that a successful lifelong learner is one who cares for others around them and is able to share resources, ideas and their knowledge with enthusiasm. At The Meadows Primary School, we aim to prepare our pupils to become good citizens of the future. Through our curriculum we teach pupils British values and how to celebrate diversity.
