Communications and Campaign Lead Officer

£32,910 - £35,745 per annum

37 hours per week

If you’re looking for a communications role with a difference, you’re in the right place.

Telford and Wrekin’s corporate communications team is the beating heart of the council, ensuring residents and businesses are informed and engaged with everything the council is doing to protect, care and invest in the borough.

As we begin to bring the pandemic under control and society starts to open up again, we have lots to do and big ambitions so we’re growing the team to support the challenges ahead.

We’re looking for a communications and campaigns lead officer to look after a portfolio of work and deliver quality communications to a range of audiences.

You’ll have the opportunity to show off a broad range of communications skills – from media management and digital PR to marketing and behaviour change campaigning and use them to really make a difference to people’s lives.

We’re especially looking for someone with a background in media for this role.  We’d like to find a communications expert who can provide guidance and support for our developing broadcasting function and on occasion be the anchor for live interviews, Facebook live sessions and online Q&A sessions, as well as pre-recorded items.

We are pushing the digital first agenda and this role will play a major part in positioning the council as a dynamic authority, at the forefront of innovative and contemporary communications.

For an informal chat about the role and what it entails, please call Sarah James, Head of Corporate Communications on 07890 062963.

For further informaton on the role please click on the job description and person specification which is available below.

Please complete the online application form as CVs will not be accepted.

We are committed to equality and diversity.
