Job Details

We are looking for an exceptional individual to help Warwickshire deliver on our statutory responsibilities in ensuring all children can access a high-quality local school place.

The Education Sufficiency team is responsible for ensuring all children in Warwickshire are able to access a school place in their local area. Warwickshire is in a period of significant growth with thousands of new homes being built and many new families relocating to the county. It is the  Education Sufficiency teams role, working with partners, to ensure the education infrastructure   across the county can meet the demand for additional school places and those places delivered in the right place and at the right time to support this growth.

As Education Capital Coordinator you will provide key support to the Education Capital and Sufficiency Lead Commissioners, ensuring all information to initiate and commission projects for reorganisation, expansion and the creation of new education provision is accurate and timely and in line with the principles of Warwickshire’s Education Sufficiency Strategy.

This role would suit someone looking to develop their career working across the organisation and with external partners at a more strategic level. You will be actively involved in defining the strategic brief for new projects, engaging with our commissioned delivery partners and key stakeholders from inception through to completion to ensure all projects delivered on time and are aligned with the communities they serve. As well as monitoring the progress of all current capital projects, you will support the Lead Commissioners to review how we approach new education capital projects in line with the County Councils climate change agenda and the importance of using public resources efficiently to create and maximise public value.
