£20,092 - £23,080 pro rata p.a. Incremental progression is dependent on performance.
Full Time, Term Time Only, 32.5 Hours per week
Solihull Specialist Inclusion Service (SISS) is looking to appoint a Communication Support Worker to work at Widney Junior School supporting three children with significant hearing losses. You would be joining a team of friendly and experienced staff, to support the children in a range of subjects within a mainstream classroom, as well as be delivering high quality interventions. You will also differentiate work prior to the lesson and communicate with mainstream teachers, to allow for necessary adjustments.
Applicants will need to have British Sign Language (minimum level 2), good literacy and numeracy skills, extensive experience of working with children with special educational needs in a school or nursery setting and experience of preparing, planning, delivering and evaluating lessons and work plans under the guidance of a teacher. You will also have great interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
