Langley Primary School – Administrative Assistant (Band B 27.5hrs permanent)

We are looking for an administrative assistant to join the office team. The hours would be 9am to 3.30 Monday to Friday, with a 1 hour lunch break.  The work is mainly involving meeting visitors to the school and dealing with queries and requests. You would be the first point of contact so it is essential that you are friendly and approachable. On occasion parents and carers arrive anxious and distressed and it is critical that you have the personal skills to be able to diffuse such feelings and help them to feel supported and valued.

Other parts of the role involve first day calling, photocopying and resource checking. You will need to be proficient with inputting data, basic spreadsheets and word-processing.

You will need to be able to gain an Enhanced DBS. This is carried out by our HR and is free.

You would be supported in the office by an experienced and friendly admin assistant and Office Manager. Training would be provided as necessary and there is free access to a wide range of online training as a member of school staff.
