About Us and The Role

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Projects Team at Warwickshire County Council for a 12 month fixed term contract to a Senior Accountant role, following the transition of the substantive postholder to an ongoing Project.


The role will focus on working with services and partners to ensure that business cases, strategic projects and associated key decisions are based on sound financial evaluation, taking into account all relevant financial information, risks, opportunities, relevant legislation and the financial framework.


This role will have a particular interest in supporting the development and delivery of projects with a focus on technological advances, particularly in relation to Financial Systems, so a background in this area would be advantageous.


Any individual wishing to apply must be a qualified accountant and would ideally have experience of managing projects and some understanding of Prince2 Project Management methodologies.
