We are recruiting a Project Support Officer to support the Programme and Project Team in the successful delivery of ICT programmes and projects and to ensure Walsall Council continues to have an ICT infrastructure fit for the future.

Working as a key member of the ICT Programme Management Office,  you will support the team to deliver successful design, planning and delivery of council wide technology change products. These include management of business case and project initiation and management to achieve benefit realisation including efficiencies and savings.

The successful candidate will also:

• Assist with the development of project plans, including capture and tracking of data 
• Assist with the capture and review of risks, issues, outcomes and benefits. 
• Provide support to and assist with the delivery of small to medium sized ICT projects in accordance with best practice methodology.

For this role the successful candidates must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.  BPSS is the minimum standard to ensure the identity and integrity of an employee who has access to official information using secure networks linking central government and local authorities.  A BPSS check involves four main elements; Identity Check, National and Immigration Status, Employment History (last 3 years) and Verification of Criminal Record (unspent convictions only).
