The Governors of this successful and popular Catholic school wish to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking Teaching Assistant who has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour and is committed to providing the best support for pupils of all abilities.

• preferably, be a practising Catholic (but we are happy to receive applications from qualified candidates who can support the religious character of the school)

• be an excellent teaching assistant, who can motivate and inspire children at all levels

• teach groups of children or individuals following the direction of the class teacher and secure good progress from all learners

• have high expectations of themselves and others and be committed to raising standards in teaching and learning

• show initiative and be willing to develop themselves professionally

• be flexible and willing to work in different age ranges
