The Cover Supervisor will supervise classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher, implement work programmes and manage pupil behaviours and assist pupils in relevant activities.
The post holder will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to secure good outcomes for all students. In addition, the post holder will actively promote the academy’s values and assist teaching staff in narrowing the gap between disadvantaged and other children. The post would suit a graduate/someone looking to gain experience to
pursue a teaching career.
Applicants will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
Experience of a similar role would be preferable.
Applicants must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills. A grade C or above in English and Maths is essential.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
