£24,982 - £27,041 per annum

NJC Scale 6 

37 hours per week + Bank Holidays (see advert for working patterns)

 

Working Patterns:

  • Easter to end of October half term – working days - Wednesday – Sunday
  • End of October half term to Easter – working days - Monday – Friday

Are you passionate about active travel and have a particular interest in cycling?

This is an exciting opportunity to join Telford & Wrekin Council as the Bike Hub Manager. In this dynamic role your primary focus will be running the day to day operations at Telford Bike Hub located in Telford Town Park. Task will include, but are not limited to, managing the Bike Hire Scheme and the fleet of cycles, running a servicing and repair provision, delivering cycle training to both individuals and groups, led rides, and cycle maintenance workshops.

It is essential that you are a cyclist and have experience in working positively with children and adults. You must comprehensive skills, knowledge and experience in bike mechanics. You must either be a National Standard Accredited Bikeability Cycle Instructor or willing to work towards this accreditation (training will be provided).  

Applicants will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate these skills to people of all ages. You will need the ability to solve problems positively and appropriately whilst working in a dynamic environment. The role will involve a high degree of creativity and innovation in planning active travel activities and events.
