The Role

We are seeking to appoint an excellent class teacher with a passion for child-centred learning, enthusiasm and high expectations for all children; someone who can inspire and motivate others and would like to join our committed, creative and enthusiastic staff team from September 2021.
The Revel is an extremely popular and successful Voluntary Aided Primary School with Roman Catholic provision, located in the small village of Monks Kirby with a dedicated Reception unit in Brinklow and a nursery in Harborough Magna. We have a large rural catchment area with 315 pupils on roll. Our site is unique, with eleven acres of beautiful woodland and open fields which we use to take our learning outdoors as much as we can. Our creative curriculum draws heavily on local inspiration with residential trips, music and sport offering the pupils significant learning enrichment. Our most recent Ofsted report stated:

“Pupils’ behaviour is usually excellent and academic standards have been consistently good. The school curriculum is thoroughly worthwhile and includes a rich variety of subjects and experiences. High-quality outdoor learning activities in the extensive and well-kept school grounds, music and sport are all worthy of particular mention. “ (October 2016)

We can offer the successful candidate:
●Highly motivated and well behaved pupils
●A dedicated, creative, fun loving and passionate collaborative professional staff team
●A well-resourced school with a unique setting
●Well informed and highly supportive Governors
●The rewards of being involved with a thriving local community in a truly unique context
●Very supportive parents with a very active ‘Friends of the School’
●A caring Christian community with strong links to Anglican and Catholic churches

Key Requirements

Our successful candidate will have:
●A proven track record in delivering high quality, aspirational teaching and learning (possibly from ITT placements)
●High expectations for all of our children regardless of their background or circumstances
●Excellent daily classroom practice
●Strategies and creativity to unlock the potential of every pupil
●A positive attitude that demonstrates growth mindset and the emotional intelligence to recognise their impact on others
●The commitment to promote and develop our distinctive Christian ethos

We strongly recommend interested candidates visit the school and welcome applications from ECT’s as well as experienced teachers
