Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Holy Trinity Academy

37 hours per week

Term time only plus 5 PD days


NJC Scale 5 £11.73 per hour (actual salary £19,294.14)

Governors are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.

We are looking for a HLTA to complement the professional work of teaching staff by taking responsibility for designated learning activities with pupils, including covering PPA and management release time.

The HLTA will also be responsible for the further organisation and development of a specified school improvement area.

This post is suitable for experienced or recently qualified candidates.

That person will be:

  • Qualified at level 2 or above in English/Literacy and Maths/Numeracy or equivalent
  • A confident practitioner who believes in teamwork
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to inspire children
  • Flexible and creative
  • Someone who is dedicated and well organised
  • Someone who has high expectations of all children in every aspect of school life
