Sixth Form Learning Mentor
Grade 5 – (Pro Rata approximately £17,030)
37 Hours per week, Term Time, Fixed Term one year
Required for September 2021, we are seeking a Graduate Learning Mentor to support our Sixth Form Students following the pandemic.
This varied role includes working alongside our students in our designated academic support base, mentoring and running key intervention strategies.
Our student’s lives have been significantly disrupted by events in 2020-21 and this post is pivotal in supporting our students reconnect with learning and achieve progression onto higher or further education. Paget is a multi-ethnic, 11-18 school with excellent transport links on the edge of the Peak District located within the National Forest. We offer a positive learning ethos and a supportive staff induction programme. According to Ofsted 2019, “The sixth form is a strength of the school and students achieve well. Students have a wide range of subjects to choose from, and they are given good advice to ensure they choose subjects that are right for them. Teachers in the sixth form understand their subjects well. They plan lessons to ensure that students’ build on what they already know. Students receive high-quality careers advice. They have opportunities to meet with employers and find out about different careers.
