Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy are an oversubscribed secondary academy with over 1400 students on roll at Key Stages 3-5 and are part of the Ormiston Academies Trust family.

We pride ourselves on building strong relationships based on mutual respect, at all levels.  We create a safe and happy environment where students are nurtured academically, socially, and emotionally so that they are ready to tackle academic challenges and have the values to become responsible members of our society. 

The academy is looking to appoint a HR Officer to support the Finance Director in providing a quality HR service, responsible for various HR functions including recruitment, staff contracts, monthly payroll processes, absence monitoring, training and development, performance monitoring and employee wellbeing. The successful candidate will have:

  • a working knowledge and experience of HR and recruitment at a professional level
  • specialist skills and knowledge including the legal framework and associated policies
  • the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and produce analytical data
  • excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with staff at all levels
