Cannock Chase High School is a vibrant and ambitious learning community.  We are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Officer to work in partnership with staff across the academy to provide the best learning experience for our students.  You will support students with personal, social, developmental and behavioural problems.

The successful candidate will also support the attendance team in removing barriers affecting students’ attendance and putting appropriate provisions in place either directly or through external agencies.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic Pastoral Team and will contribute to supporting students across all Year groups though a range of preventative strategies related to personal problems, behavioural issues, examinations stress, anxiety and relationship issues.

You will have experience of building relationships with children with a range of complex needs and experience in working with these students directly to support them and utilising external agencies.  We are looking for someone who builds constructive relationships with families and carers and keeps them informed of the student’s needs and progress.  You will also be required to keep regular and confidential records relating to students.

We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working individual who will contribute to the overall values, ethos and aims of the school.
