This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Special Educational Needs practitioner to use and broaden their knowledge, skills and understanding across a range of schools.

Dudley Learning Support Service is traded service who work to improve educational outcomes for pupils with SEND through the provision of assessment, teaching, training and advice to schools and other settings. A fundamental aspect of the role is to work closely with the school SENCo in order to support SEND provision.

 

This is a fixed term vacancy or a Secondment Opportunity

This is 0.6 fte post. However, these hours can be split across two posts in order to be easily accommodated by your current employer.

Applications are invited from experienced teachers with QTS, with:

  • Experience and knowledge of SEND Code of Practice (2014)
  • Experience in the assessment / teaching of pupils with SEND
  • Experience in the role of advising colleagues/SENCos
  • Working with a range of outside agencies
  • The ability to move efficiently and effectively around Dudley and the neighbouring local authorities.

As a Dudley LSS Specialist Teacher, you can expect:
