Minibus Driver: Vale of Evesham School
Salary: £9.62 hour progressing to £9.81
Hours: 26.5 hours per week, term time only.
Contract end date 31/12/2021, Rolling contract that potentially may be extended.
Location: This Minibus driver position is operated from De Montford High School, Four Pools, Evesham WR11 1DQ.
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, Term-Time only
- Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Hold a licence category D1
- Demonstrate evidence of experience of driving appropriate vehicles.
- Due to the nature of the work a criminal records check via the DBS disclosure service will be obtained during the recruitment process.
- Full training provided
- Candidates are required to successfully complete a County Council driving assessment prior to
- interview.
What the position of minibus driver involves:
The role involves driving a minibus on a split shift to safely transport children into school of a morning and returning them home in the afternoon. Pupils can be challenging.
Drivers work as part of a team with the Passenger Assistant assigned to the route and are required to develop and maintain good communication with the Passenger Assistant, all members of the organisation, school, and parents.
You will need to assist with movement of passengers including use of tail lift and wheel chair securing as required
You will be required to carry out safety checks on the minibus prior to collection and drive in a safe manner at all times.
To carry out basic administration, clean minibus and fill the minibus with fuel when required.
