Are you passionate about educating young people about Geography?  If so, why not join our high performing dedicated and hardworking Humanities Department?  The Governors of Pershore High School wish to appoint an engaging and enthusiastic teacher of Geography & Humanities for a temporary 1 Year post from 1^st September 2021; the willingness to teach History and Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 is essential.  The Geography department is located together in a ten classroom modern building complete an ICT suite and a staff workroom, all staff are provided with a laptop.  The successful candidate will join the school at a very exciting time in its development as we take on our first cohort of 90 Year 7 students in September 2021 within Avonreach Academy Trust.

We currently have 1127 students on roll in Years 8-13 of which 161 are on the SEND Register, 35 of whom have EHCPs.  This includes 15 students who are part of our Mainstream Autism Base (MAB).  In addition, 16% of students are in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant.  The school was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted at their last visit in September 2017 and we have outstanding pastoral provision.  Our highly successful school is steadily growing and student numbers are predicted to rise further in the next few years.  We have just been identified as one of only 50 schools in the first tranche of the government’s schools rebuilding programme.
