Business Support Manager
We are looking for a number of experienced, creative and dynamic Business Support Managers to join our teams, leading improvements and efficiencies in business support and within services across the Council.
Three roles supporting the newly created City Housing or City Operations Directorates and one role in the Education & Skills Directorate.
You will lead teams within Business Support Services in achieving their objectives, ensuring effective relationships are built across key frontline and other support services. You will provide effective support and development opportunities for your teams and work with colleagues across the business support function and respective service areas to contribute to whole service development. You will take the lead in developing processes within your designated area to ensure that teams are as efficient as possible.
You will have strong operational management experience, be highly technically skilled in IT and have demonstrable experience of making service improvements in terms of efficiency and quality of output.
This will be a fast-paced role within a changing landscape which will require energy, enthusiasm and tenacity to drive the Council and your diverse support teams forward. We are looking for highly motivated, solution focussed and resilient managers to ensure that high quality business improvement and support services are provided at all times.
In line with COVID-19 restrictions the role is currently being delivered from home. This is currently under review, but it is expected that we will continue to offer flexibility for home working with attendance at a Council Building when necessary. This could be at any of the Council Administration Buildings within the City.
