Children in Care 14-18 Team Social Worker
Do you have a passion for working with teenagers and adolescents with a focus on using a restorative approach and developing strong relationships and promoting positive outcomes for young people?
Are you able to build strong effective relationships with young people with a focus on developing their independence skills from 14 through their journey to adulthood with good Pathway planning?
Are you able to work with young people recognising, celebrating and promoting their achievements?
We are looking for social workers who have high aspirations for our young people and a willingness to support them to achieve their outcomes.
If so, we are keen to welcome you to the Children in Care 14-18 Team. We currently have two social work positions and we are seeking the right candidates who enjoy working with our young people effectively, advising and supporting them throughout their journey including with any rehabilitation back to family members, where safe and appropriate to do so.
We are looking for social workers who are committed to supporting our young people to ensure they are engaged in education, employment or training opportunities whilst also ensuring appropriate transitions and support is in place for young people ahead of turning 18.
We can offer a supportive team environment and a clear career progression using the pathways that WCC have in place and support your ongoing professional development.
WCC has invested in technology to support agile working with our young people including Microsoft Surface Pro’s, use of Teams and smartphones.
