About Us

Empowering Young People, Innovation and Independence

The House Project brings a fresh and energetic approach to providing top quality services for young people. Our role is to build sustainable homes with young people leaving care and create a centre of excellence for co-operative, innovative work with young people.

Offering a new, exciting opportunity to develop a collaborative model in which support workers and young people leaving care work together to enable them to find properties, manage their own homes and achieve successful independence.

Warwickshire County Council has a commitment to improve the opportunities for their Care Leavers. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of The House Project.

We are recruiting a Full Time House Project Support Workers to work with care leavers, providing them with advice and support as they make their transition to adulthood in a new home.

The Role

The House Project team is required to work innovatively to support and empower vulnerable young people, providing a safe pair of hands and safe relationships to enable the young people to take control of their transitions and responsibility for the project.

The House Project Support Workers need diverse skills, including preparation support, housing support, financial and EET guidance, as well as business management to support and run the House Project:

  • Support care leavers to secure and support them into suitable accommodation
  • Increase employment and training opportunities
  • Maintain a healthy standard of living and offer general advice and guidance
  • Be flexible & creative with some evening and weekend work, this is not a 9am-5pm role
  • Support Workers need to work in a multi-agency way to devise, improve, implement, and review individuals’ plans to ensure good outcomes for our care leavers.
