Required for September 1st 2021 an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant for a year 3 class
Contract: September 1st 2021 to July 31st 2022
Grade 2 £18,198 pro rata, Full Year
4 days per week (must include Friday)
A fantastic opportunity to work at Tower View Primary School has become available for an experienced and pro-active Teaching Assistant to join our year 3 team.
You will be working within a Year 3 class, helping develop the pupils’ personalities and pushing their learning in all areas of the curriculum. Creativity and positivity are at the centre of teaching and learning at our school, and it focuses on encouraging individual contribution, resilience, empathy and aspiration from every child.
You will be assisting the whole class as well as taking small groups of children or 1:1 and supporting them. The requirement to work with initiative, pro-actively and as part of a wider team are key skills we will be looking for in those applying for this position.
For this role, you will ideally need to:
- have previous experience of working with primary aged children within a school setting, preferably year 3 or lower key stage 2
- have confidence in dealing with pupils with different abilities
- possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- be good at working as part of a wider team
- have up to date knowledge of basic assessment techniques, understanding of marking and the English and mathematics curriculum.
- be able to work on your own with groups of children, directing and adapting lessons according to need and ongoing outcomes.
- have good standards of numeracy and literacy.
- to enjoy working in a school environment.
- be adaptable, flexible and resilient to the day to day rigours of school life.
- Be able to work with primary aged children.
