Residential Night Worker

Salary:  £20,903-£23,541 per annum (pro rata) plus 2 SCP (for weekend working)

20 Hours per week – Temporary Fixed Term Contract for 6 Months  

Stafford Short Breaks based in the town of Stafford is a 5-bedded Children’s service that offers “short breaks” to young people who are deemed to be on the edge of care.

The role involves supporting young people who at times can be challenging but require a nurturing and caring environment for 1-3 overnight stays nights a week.

We require a committed and highly motivated person to work with young people aged 11-18 years of age. The role requires you to support young people in achieving positive outcomes in all areas of their lives.

The role involves supporting young people during the night , ensuring that they are safe and cared for .

Working at Stafford Short Breaks is both challenging and rewarding and will require a high level of resilience.  You will not need a Level 3 Childcare Diploma to apply for this post however this would be desirable. Having experience of working with young people in a residential setting is a bonus.

This role involves working waking nights 21.00pm- 07.00am which will be flexible to cover deficiencies in the rota.
