35 Hours

Worcestershire County Council's Skills team supports the Local Enterprise Partnership in Worcestershire to develop its skills strategy for the county by understanding the employment needs of our economy both now and in the future.  This strategy includes working to reduce rising numbers of  youth claimants within the county and support them into employment opportunities.

This exciting project management role working with the programme team will support a new programme into the county developing a drop in facility for young people and supporting those most at risk of being Not in Education, Employment and Training as well as those aged 16-24 years currently outside of education and employment.

The successful candidate will manage the project working with DWP and contractors across the county to recruit young people into the programme, supporting them to establish their next steps  and working to secure them employment or transition into education beyond the project. The successful applicant will need strong communication and a high level of attention to detail.

Reporting to and working closely with a range of partners, you’ll work with Worcestershire’s Employers, Department for Work and Pensions, Local Enterprise Partnership, Local Training Providers and our FE Colleges across Worcestershire  ensuring that your role contributes to deliver the desired outputs, outcomes and benefits, in line with the programme.
