About Us and The Role

We are looking for a dynamic manager to lead the Learning Disability Adult Social Care Team in Warwickshire.

Warwickshire is an attractive place to live, work and visit. It is a thriving county with real strengths: a strong and growing economy, vibrant towns and villages, good standards of education and skills, and a track record of innovative public services.

Warwickshire is an internationally renowned county that is home to some of the UK’s most established businesses, as well as thousands of thriving small enterprises. Located at the heart of the UK, Warwickshire enjoys superb links to the rest of the country through its proximity to the national motorway network and growing local rail network.

One of our core strengths is adults’ services, where we are recognised for high quality services and ensuring the best outcomes for residents.

As an Operations Manager you will work with the service manager to take a lead in service development. You will also work with partners to achieve this to continue to improve the experience for individuals and their families. For example, we work closely with partners on the Transforming Care agenda.

Therefore, you will be required to have effective working relationships across health and social care and other statutory and third sector agencies.

As Operations Manager for the Learning Disability Team you will manage and provide strong leadership to a county-wide team of social workers, social care practitioners and occupational therapy staff, supported by team leaders, in ensuring that individuals and their carers are supported to live independent lives and achieve their identified outcomes.

You must be committed to putting individuals, carers and their families at the heart of your work and applying a fair approach to how we utilise our resources. You must have a strength-based person-centred approach to delivering the Care Act 2014. Experience of managing a large team and budget is essential too.

Our staff tell us Warwickshire County Council is a good employer. In Warwickshire we put our people first – our residents and our staff. We value and develop our workforce to ensure staff can provide the best care, support and protection possible for the people of Warwickshire.

If you believe you have the required knowledge, skills and experience to join our management team to continue to make a positive difference for our residents, we want to hear from you.
