Gorsemoor Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, reliable and professional Nursery Nurse to support within our wonderful Nursery setting, from September 2021.

Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Nursery, we are looking for enthusiastic, committed and child-centred individuals to join our growing Nursery. We are seeking an experienced Nursery Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be closely supported by our Nursery manager and the whole of the nursery team.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, it is essential therefore that the successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, have a high level of personal drive, energy and resilience together with relevant experience. The successful candidates will need to respond effectively to changing priorities, be able to use their initiative as well as having excellent organisation. Confidentiality and professionalism are key attributes for this role. Suitable training will be provided to develop specific qualities which will emerge as the successful candidates start the role. Successful candidates will possess good literacy and numeracy skills, the ability to work effectively with pupils and their parents/carers and have a good level of IT skills.

You will be working closely with the Nursery Manager to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment for all of the pupils that attend.

To be successful in your role, you will help to plan and supervise child and adult led activities. You will have key person responsibilities and will support the children to achieve their full potential in all areas of the EYFS. We are seeking a pro-active person who has a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be required to carry out observations of the children, full training and support will be given. Most importantly, you will be required to develop good relationships with the children and their families in order to help them to progress in their learning and development.
