Legal Services Practice Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful and high performing legal department at a senior level. The role is open to senior candidates either from a legal or a professional services background.
You will be joining the firm as an integral part of the Management team and will play a leading role in the future development of the firm, helping to develop smoother operating processes and generally ensuring the efficiency of the of the firm's operation.
You will be fully involved in the general running of the practice, with marketing, LEXEL and HR matters and you should also be familiar with the financial side of the business. You will take over the management of a well run and proven team, together supporting the Partners to provide an efficient, friendly and approachable ethos.
This will be a leading role, where you will help to ensure that standards are met generally for all staff on levels of professionalism and to be an ambassador internally and externally for the department as a whole.
You will need to have proven leadership / management skills gained at a substantial legal or similar professional organisation, however, candidates from non-legal backgrounds could also be considered.
The key skills for the role include a high commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, confidence, ability to build rapport with partners and clients, independence in ability to manage caseload, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and deliver targets.
The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with local government experience. Applications will be considered from those with a background in private practice.
