                   Grade 3 Salary Point 3 - 4 £18,562 - £18,933 FTE (Actual Salary £5201 - £5305)

Position 2:    17 hours per week, term time, 1 year fixed term, KS2

                   Grade 3 Salary Point 3 - 4 £18,562 - £18,933 FTE (Actual Salary £7368 - £7515)

Woodlands Community Primary School Tamworth is seeking an energetic, creative and hardworking teaching assistant

You will be assisting the whole class as well as taking small groups of children or 1:1 and supporting them.  The requirement to work with initiative, pro-actively and as part of a wider team are key skills we will be looking for in those applying for this position.

For this role, you will ideally need to:

  • have previous experience of working with primary aged children within a school setting, preferably EY or upper KS 2 depending on the position
  • have confidence in dealing with pupils with different abilities
  • possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • be good at working as part of a wider team
  • have up to date knowledge of basic assessment techniques,
  • be able to work on your own with groups of children, directing and adapting lessons according to need and ongoing outcomes.
  • be adaptable, flexible and resilient to the day to day rigours of school life.

Candidates will be observed teaching a small group of children in their own setting or at The Woodlands as part of the interview process.
