Job Details

Dudley Performing Arts teach 1000s of children and young people each week  in  the schools and academies. We have a workforce of experienced teachers who work across the area and an administration base at the Waterfront in Brierley Hill. We are part of Children's Services within Dudley Council and are the lead partner for the Dudley Music Education Hub.

Hours: 20 per week

Salary: Grade 4

The role is part time, school term time only, 08:00 to 12:00 Monday to Friday.

The administration officers work from an office at the Waterfront at Brierley Hill and facilitate all of the work delivered by Dudley Performing Arts. The role involves processing data, communicating with clients, liaising with staff and generally supporting the functions of a busy office. The work relies heavily on ICT systems including specialist applications as well as the expected suite of outlook/word/excel etc.  This post is one of 3 administration officers that includes The Senior Administration officer who co-ordinates the work.

Applicant's need to be ICT literate and able to communicate effectively both verbally and electronically. Candidate's must be able to work in an office environment, be able to work to set deadlines and manage workloads effectively. Teamworking is an essential aspect of our work and colleagues need to be flexible in their outlook and willing to change plans as priority dictates. 

We expect applicants to have

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ICT skills including the full range off office applications
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to allocate and schedule work for self
  • Good level of written communication skills (e.g. letters)
  • Ability to carry out day to day management of physical resources

Our work brings together work with the arts and developing young people. This role would be particular suitable for someone with an interest in the arts and culture or with experience of working in education.
