The Role
Welcombe Hills School is an all age (3-19) generic special school in Stratford upon Avon which meets the needs of pupils with a wide range of Special Educational needs.

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, reliable and committed Midday Supervisor to join our team in September 2021. You will work during the lunch time period to supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our pupils.
In dining area:
•Ensure that the personal and individual care and toileting needs of pupils are met. This may include changing nappies and associated moving/handling involved.
•Set out and clear away Dining Room Chairs and Tables
•Escort pupils to and from dining areas, ensuring information is exchanged with class staff.
•Ensure pupils are in the dining room/area at the appropriate time.
•Help pupils at the counter, including choice of meal
•Assist with the proper use of cutlery and helping cut food as necessary.
•Where necessary, feed pupils with severe physical problems, following advice of other professionals.
•Assist pupils when returning used plates, trays, cutlery, beakers, etc and clearing tables etc when lunch is completed.
•Supervise pupils eating food brought from home and ensure packed lunch equipment is cleared away.
In school or playground:
•Be responsible for groups of children in the playground or classrooms according to the weather. May include pupils with challenging behaviours and with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
•Develop and support lunchtime activities
•Attend to minor accidents and complete incident/accident forms
•Support the Healthcare co-ordinator with the administration of medication during the lunchtime period, liaising over any healthcare concerns
•Attend to pupils who become ill as necessary
•Adhere to any behaviour management programmes devised by others.
Working Pattern
5-10 hours a week, term time only working from 11.30 -1.30 pm Monday to Friday
Band D: Actual Salary £4251-£4336

Key Requirements
•GCSE A – C in English and Maths (or equivalent)
•Have a good understanding of children with special educational needs and be able to provide care and support as appropriate
•Prepared to undertake specialist training for feeding and drinking protocols
•Aptitude to be trained to operate special needs machinery, tools (eg hoists, certain feeding equipment)
