Visitor Services Assistant
We are looking to recruit a permanent team member to join our friendly Visitor Services team at Market Hall Museum. The successful candidate will work three Saturdays in four on a rolling rota shift pattern.
Week 1 – 09:30-17:10 = 6.40 Hours
Week 2 – 09:30-17:10 = 6.40 Hours
Week 3 – Day Off
Week 4 – 09:30-17:10 = 6.40 Hours
Total = 20 hours a month
About the Role
The Market Hall Museum stands in the heart of historic Warwick and is a popular destination for both locals and visitors to Warwick.
Our Visitor Services Assistants are the public face of Market Hall Museum. Based in our café and shop, they are passionate about promoting the Museum and our services, motivated to achieve income targets, and dedicated to serving our visitors and the local community.
At the start of each shift, you will be helping set up Market Hall for the day. You will be meeting and greeting visitors whilst ensuring the smooth running of our family friendly café and shop. Your daily tasks could vary between making paninis and serving locally sourced cakes in our family friendly café, to selling event tickets, gifts, and souvenirs in our shop. Our team aim is to deliver a consistent and enjoyable visitor experience whilst generating essential income for the Museum service.
About the Candidate
We are looking for someone with experience of working in customer service within a retail or café environment. Good levels of numeracy and literacy are essential to this role.
Full training will be provided. As part of this training the postholder will be required to successfully complete First Aid, Fire Warden and Food Hygiene training during their probation period.
