Apprentice Housing Officer
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is a small Council with big values. We are committed to ensuring our services are delivered to the highest possible standard and we put the customer at the forefront of everything we do. By working for us you will become part of the team and will play your part in serving our community.
We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Housing Officer who will assist in the provision of an all round housing management service. A background in housing is not essential as applicants will have the opportunity to gain experience in the role and develop by undertaking a Level 3 Housing qualification. What is more important is a commitment to customer service and a willingness to learn.
This is a full time role working Monday to Friday with support and time given to fulfil the requirements of your training. Furthermore, given the current ongoing pandemic situation, there is the opportunity to work from home although you should be prepared to visit and work form the office as required.
The role is a varied one and will involve dealing with queries from tenants of both Council and Leaseholder owned properties, carrying out visits, accompanied viewings and investigating housing related complaints. At completion of the qualification, which should take about 18 months, although there is no guarantee of permanent employment, you will have gained the experience and skills to become a Housing Officer.
As an employer, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council offers a wide range of benefits, including flexible working, Local Government Pension Scheme, generous holiday allowance and childcare vouchers.
This post is covered by the Fluency Duty, as outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers.

Any communication with you will be via email, so please check your email, including spam/junk folders, and WMJobs account on a regular basis after submitting your application.
