This is an exciting time for the ASB team at Dudley Council as we build upon our foundation to deliver an outstanding and innovative service.

Dudley's Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Team work with local communities and partner agencies to deliver a responsive, proactive and victim centred ASB and Statutory Noise Nuisance service. We investigate and address cases, and where possible, the causes of ASB to help improve the lives of residents and our communities. We are committed to providing a swift and effective response to ASB in line with ASB policies and procedures, relevant legislation and the tools and powers available to us.

We are seeking a passionate, committed and ambitious Assistant Team Manager to join the management team of the ASB service. You will be responsible for providing day to day management and supervision of our ASB Team, deputising for the Team Manager as necessary and playing an integral role in the development of the service and providing exemplary standards of customer service.

You will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to work to ensure delivery of quick and sustainable resolutions to problems of ASB and Statutory Noise Nuisance across all tenures within the Borough, whilst supporting and reducing risk.

You must be professional, have a high attention to detail and have a good knowledge and understanding of housing legislation, an awareness of wider community safety agendas and experience of effective partnership working. The ideal candidate should have experience of tackling and dealing with anti-social behaviour, legal processes as well as significant experience in managing, supervising and developing staff. You must have a positive, can do attitude, be confident in decision making, have outstanding communication skills and be willing to go the extra mile.

Hours of work are 18.5 per week working Wednesday PM, Thursday and Friday, though some evening and weekend working may be required where necessary to meet the needs of the service and working closely with the Council’s out of hours response service to ensure continuous service delivery.
