Flood Risk Officer

£27,741 - £29,577 per annum

NJC SO1

37 hours per week

The post holder will: 

  • Assist with the implementation of the Council’s roles and responsibilities as the Lead Local Flood Authority for the Borough, with regard to the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
  • Assist the Drainage and Flood Risk Team Leader in the development and maintenance of the Council’s Flood Risk Management Strategy.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of drainage and municipal engineering schemes.
  • Provide support for the provision of technical advice on a variety of flooding and drainage matters, under guidance, to other members of the Service Area, members of the Public and others within the Council.
