We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join our Highway Works Permit Team and be a part of Solihull’s continuing success.

For Solihull, HS2 presents a unique opportunity to realise unprecedented levels of growth and, through its ‘UK Central’ vision, the Council is embarking upon a programme of infrastructure development and delivery on a scale never seen before in Solihull.

As Compliance Officer, you will bring your experience and knowledge to provide a customer focussed service and technical support to ensure that the Council delivers its Traffic Management statutory duties and obligations.  You will assist in records management, attend site meetings, carry out inspections liaising with Highway Work promoters, issuing fixed penalty notices and associated income.

To be successful you will have a Level 3 qualification in Traffic or Highways Management and be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience of traffic management and work co-ordination systems.  You will have good financial and IT skills, able to use a range of systems and applications and you will be able to demonstrate effective negotiation, influencing and diplomacy skills to engage with customers and stakeholders.
