Career Grade £19,698 to £36,922 per annum

An amazing opportunity has arisen for experienced Building Surveyors looking to work with a broad range of professionals in an enthusiastic and forward-looking organisation. If you are passionate about the built environment and most particularly, housing, then we would love to hear from you.

Our portfolio includes an exciting mix of high and low rise blocks alongside traditional dwellings, predominantly rented units with some leaseholds offering you considerable scope to apply your talents.

These post/s will focus on our work around fire safety and decarbonisation programmes, ensuring that the homes that we provide are first rate. Most of the projects that this post will be responsible for are complex and likely to be inter-dependant on other parallel work streams. Keeping these individual pieces of work on track and focussed will require programme management experience and skills.

It will often require co-ordination across multiple service areas, each with its own budgetary and service delivery issues. They will work with a range of partners to develop and deliver several projects including consultation and community liaison.

The post holder will need to successfully deploy their negotiating, motivating and persuading skills to ensure effective and timely delivery of tasks by others. Dealing with concurrent projects at varying stages of preparation, to research and justify projects, produce written reports or verbal presentations to officers, partners and Council Members.

We offer a great working environment with good training prospects. You don’t need to be MRiCs qualified but you do need to be prepared to train and gain retrofit qualifications. You must also have experience in Housing.

If you would like an informal chat about the position please contact Lisa Barker, Head of Housing Services on 01926 456043.
