Would you like to work for an ‘Outstanding’ local authority – one with an established management team, committed to developing excellent practice and ensuring that our staff receive the best support we can offer?

Telford and Wrekin’s Children's Services invite you to join us in our exciting transformation journey. If you are committed to working with families in a relational way and like us want to re-connect with the community in which our families live then we would like to hear from you.

The Independent Conference and Review Team is a stable, experienced and knowledgeable team of professionals that has responsibility for functions such as Child Protection Conferences, Child in Care Reviews, LADO, Advocacy and Foster Carer Reviews within Telford & Wrekin. The service works closely with internal and external partners to support the achievement of positive outcomes for children and young people in their journey through statutory services in Telford & Wrekin.

The LADO/IRO/CP Chair role is a key role and is highly valued by senior management in Telford and Wrekin Council and by the front line practitioners you will work very closely with. As a Child Protection Chair, you will contribute to the development and quality assurance of service standards for children subject to Child Protection Plans. As LADO you will coordinate the investigations of child protection allegations against professionals, and conduct regular inspections of fieldwork services to ensure statutory requirements are met, making recommendations for action.
